The City of Hamilton Economic Development and Planning Committee received a report outling the costs related to the retention and maintenance of the St. Mark's Church site located at 130 Hunter Street at Bay. This building received heritage designation in 1995 and the open green space has been utilized as a neighbourhood park. Until June 2008, the City was intent on selling the site. This changed in the face of the protest from the DNA and residents alike. This latest report outlines various options for the continued use of the space. The report will be discussed at the Economic Development and Planning Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. at the Albion Room in the Hamilton Convention Centre. If you are unable to attend this meeting, please read the report and let the DNA know what you think by emailing president@durandna.com.
